I am bidding farewell to what was both a tough year and a very liberating year.

Alot of good things have happened this year and I would rather think about all the wonderful people who have come into my life this year.

Some of you have been in my life before and have once again returned to my life.

Many of you are new friends, with whom without I would certainly not have been able to get through the last year. I love you all so much. Your kindness, support, understanding and just holding my hand gave me the confidence and strength that I had forgotten I had in me. I escaped the cocoon enclosure and popped out a weak butterfly whose wings filled with your prayers and flew up and away, stronger and happier than I have ever been in my life...ever. My heart has healed and my soul has been uplifted.

My sisters have been there for me. I love you Hope, Angie and Leslie. My big sister Hope, really came through for me this year. Giving me advice that was rooted in dignity and honor. I am so glad you are back in my life again. I have missed you. My sister Angie, sent me strength through prayer that I could feel even though she was hundreds of miles away from me. My little sister Leslie would check up on me just to make sure I was okay, not even knowing that those emails and texts meant so much to my heart and soul.

My best friend Yvonne. I cannot even begin to thank her for loving me and always being the one who has always believed in me. I would do anything for you too. Beaches! You are the wind beneath my wings!

I love you all and I am so looking forward to spending 2009 with my one and only true love of my life: ME! J/K!! LOL!!

I feel like I am finally on a road to "where"...to where I should have
continued on...instead of taking the wrong road and being lost for over
13 years. I am back on the right road now. I know where I am going
again. No GPS or Tom Tom needed here!

Happy New Year!

Wont you join me down the road?
I have taken my kids to the Nutcracker Ballet with the Corpus Christi Symphony for as long as I can remember. Last year we missed it because I was too busy playing step-grandma to the newborn. This year my oldest nephew invited me to the show! AND MY BOYS ACTUALLY WANTED TO GO TO!!! Amazing times for an amazing season!

We had a nice quiet Christmas and my sister and BIL brought me my niece and nephew to hang out with us for a couple of days.
Pending him signing the power of attorney and paying all the crap he was ordered to pay. My divorce should be finalized right after Christmas and just before New Years. They will backdate it to the 19th, because that's when we went before the judge and he agreed to grant me my request. The ball is in his court. Let's see if he will follow through on this one last thing. I'll believe it when the spousal support he owes me gets transferred over into my account and I can finally get my personal belongings and all the furniture out of the house and garage. Probably won't be till January because of the holidays. So close, but yet, so far.

I am still working on the official Divorce Story. Probably is going to turn into a book before it's all over.
I have lost so much weight! Everyone asks me how. Simply put, I just eliminated the STRESS in my life...and no sugar and no salt. No exercise at all. Can you imagine what I could be if I started running?

I am in a size 9 jean now!!! That may still be big to some folks, but hey, I was in an 18 on 8/1/08. I was originally wanting to be a 7/8, but actually, I think a 5/7...what I was before I had my boys...is what I think I can really get down to realistically. I feel like Valerie Bertinelli and Marie Osmond...but I didn't use Jenny or Nutri-system!

My 22 year old step-son visited me over the turkey holiday and he could not believe how tiny I was. He was shocked. My ex-hubs (the good one) says I am the same as when we got married (and I was already pregnant at that time!!!)

Actually, I am starting to feel pretty and feel pretty good in my jeans! Even the size 9's are starting to feel a little loose. I figure that the boobage should start shrinking pretty soon too. I have always been top heavy, even after my breast reduction surgery in 1999. The bra band is starting to feel loose on the tightest setting...hooray!

My ideal weight according to the charts is 125, that is still 40 pounds
away...there is no way my body could lose another 40! The average D cup
boob weighs 9 pounds...and I have two, so there's 18 pounds (almost half!) that won't
go away completely. 22 pounds still to go!

That's me with the Mayor in October.

Back in the mix of things!

I had a fabulous time Thursday night at the Art Museum of South Texas Gala. Delicious food from (my favorite place to celebrate my birthday) Joe Cottens! Stellar entertainment from Mel Tillis singing all his most loved tunes and a bunch of classics.

With us at our table were Mayor Garrett and his lovely wife Janice, Kathy (the lady who caught our radio station cat when she was a little feral cat) and her husband Dennis Johnston, Dr. Bruce (our morning show guy) and his wife Sandi, and Glenn Praesel, former host of The Nashville Network and an actor in the movie Palo Pinto Gold.
According to psychological tests my soon-to-be-ex-step-daughter is RETARDED! That's right...and I have copies of the reports to prove the findings and the observations are in fact true and accurate.

Now we know why she never could and still cannot spell, read or write a coherent sentence as evidenced by her inability to pass the GED or even a driving test on the first try!

And here I just thought she was just lazy and stupid! (and grossly overweight--235 pounds the last time I got her on the scale!)

It truly was a miracle that she passed her cosmetology tests on the first try! Prayer really does work!!

Let's make some predictions:

She'll continue to get fatter and fatter...until she starts on the drugs--diet and recreational-- to get back to 150 like pictured below when she got knocked up the first time. (She weighed 213 when we went to Cancun in 2003!)

She'll get knocked up again, probably by another loser that's been in and out of prison just like Rene Arroyo of San Diego, CA, the father of her illegitimate daughter, who is currently enrolled in the California prison program! The felon is pictured below. Should I let him know he has a daughter and where she is? Perhaps he would like to exercise his parental rights? Having his daughter's social security number would make it so much easier for him to track her down and exercise those rights.

She'll go from job to job, because as her mother and step-father have noted in various emails (that I have in my possession) that she cannot get along with people and has problems with people in authority. She even went so far as to report her step-father to the Texas State Board of Licensing so that he would not be able to practice his LMSW here in Corpus Christi.

Basically, she will live a dismal life.

Besides being retarded, she is also a liar, a thief (was arrested for shoplifting in the DFW area,) a glutton and will most likely be charged with a misdemeanor in the next few weeks.

In this case the apple doesn't fall far from the paternal tree!!

Mark my words.

They may both end up in the same cell!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

What an ungrateful <strike>little</strike> <strike>big</strike> FAT bitch!

Bitch is the right label--look at the dog bone on her necklace!!

AND WHAT IS UP WITH THAT HORRID SKIN??????
All the storm hoopla has passed. I did, however, sleep with my laptop on top of the ottoman next to my bed. Our local NBC affiliate has a special weather program that announces any special weather situation---the meteorologist voice actually comes out and says " This is Joe Smith with a First Warning Weather Alert....." . It woke me up about 5 times last night. I had to check it only because it could have been tornadic. Plus our freaking Dish network satellite doesn't work in the hard rain!!!! AND WE DON'T EVEN GET LOCAL ON THE 8's from the Weather Channel! Oh, this is not going to work. I am switching back to something that works as soon as my one year obligation is over.

Yesterday afternoon was aimless. I just read the weather stuff that came faxed over to us by our Accuweather people. Frankly, I gleaned more info from NOAA and the local NBC station. I took my laptop into the control room with me while I was on the air. We already have two computers in there, it looked like NASA Mission Control in there! Unfortunately, I cannot print from any of the computers in there so I have to copy whatever I need into an email and fwd it to our Administrative Assistant at the front desk, who in turn printed it for me and then ran it back to the control room to me. I did get a chance to catch up with alot of my friends from all over the USA yesterday. I let everyone know that it was all much ado about nothing regarding the storm. It did give me the opportunity to invite everyone to hop onto our station website: kftx.com and click on the listen live button.

A bunch of businesses were closed yesterday, which is really bad for some people who depend on their weekly hours to survive, like the gals at the Subway Sandwich Shop across the street. That $40 missing from their paycheck really hurts them. At least the minimum wage is going up today. Listen to this, their boss told them he was giving them a raise! What an asshole! Raise my ass! He is mandated by the Federal Government to pay them the new minimum wage!

But what can you do? What can they do? They need their jobs. They aren't qualified to do much of any other kind of work. It gets better. The owner of the shop is closing down for about 5 days to remodel. So, is this a layoff? Hell, what are these gals gonna do?

Thank God, I have skills and a husband that supports our household.

OMG! I almost forgot, have you seen MAD MEN? More in another post!!!!
